Jack Burgess
Jack Burgess - Head of Sales
With over eight years of experience in IT recycling and trade, Jack plays a central role in leading Tec Hut’s sales operations and supporting the company’s ongoing growth.
He keeps the team focused and consistent, setting clear direction, reviewing performance, and driving results across our sales divisions.
Jack also oversees international trade sales, working with brokers and buyers worldwide to promote responsible asset recovery and sustainable technology practices.
He combines strong industry knowledge with a practical leadership style, helping to shape Tec Hut’s culture and continued commercial success.
Darren Price
Darren Price – Technical Manager
Darren has over seven years of experience in the IT recycling industry and has been part of Tec Hut since day one. He supports clients with IT repairs, support, recycling guidance, and refurbished equipment, helping them stay secure, compliant, and operational.
Darren’s broad knowledge and attention to detail make him a trusted point of contact for many of our long standing clients. Whether it’s troubleshooting an issue or advising on the best IT solution, he’s known for going the extra mile to get things sorted quickly and effectively.
Before joining Tec Hut, Darren spent over a decade in construction and manufacturing, giving him a strong foundation in technical operations and customer focused delivery - skills he puts to work every day in our fast moving environment.
Outside of work, Darren enjoys golf, time with friends and family, and getting stuck into hands on projects - most recently, building a koi pond. He’s also a loyal (and occasionally frustrated) Manchester United fan.
Alan Bannaghan
Alan Bannaghan — Team Leader
Alan brings over 12 years of experience in the IT asset disposal and recycling industry, helping businesses across both public and private sectors reduce their carbon footprint and meet sustainability goals.
He has worked with councils, governing bodies, schools, and NHS organisations to ensure IT equipment is recycled securely and responsibly, with minimal landfill impact.
With more than 24 years in sales, Alan combines commercial understanding with a commitment to sustainability supporting clients in achieving secure, compliant, and environmentally.
George Hayes
George Hayes - Sales Executive
George has over four years of experience in IT asset disposal, recycling, and data destruction, helping businesses stay fully compliant with GDPR. His studies in IT and business have given him a strong understanding of data protection and sustainable technology practices.
As a Team Leader at Tec Hut, George ensures every IT asset is processed securely and efficiently, supporting clients with compliance and peace of mind.
Outside of work, George enjoys golf and football — and proudly brings a bit of Canadian flair to the Tec Hut team.
Lochiel Rattray
Lochiel Rattray — Processing Supervisor
Lochiel is the steady hand guiding operations inside the Tec Hut processing facility, keeping everything moving efficiently and making sure IT equipment is handled securely and sustainably. With over 20 years in manufacturing, he brings a seriously impressive mix of experience — from production planning and logistics to procurement, materials control and customer service. If it happens in a production environment, Lochiel has probably mastered it.
At Tec Hut, he oversees large‑scale asset processing and ensures every project meets strict compliance and regulatory standards. In other words, he’s the guy who makes sure everything is done properly, safely and on time.
Before joining Tec Hut, Lochiel built a diverse career across manufacturing, hospitality and customer service, and spent a decade in the home improvements industry leading teams and delivering high‑quality projects.
Outside of work, Lochiel loves socialising, creative arts, dance and travelling — always keen to explore new places, cultures and experiences.
Molly Shaw
Molly Shaw — International IT Trade Specialist
Molly buys and sells Tec Hut’s refurbished tech to wholesalers, resellers and end users, keeping the inventory moving around the world. All the while maintaining the kind of customer relationships that make people come back just to chat with her. She has been working in sales for over four years and is an expert in keeping clients happy, creating a welcoming atmosphere and, most importantly, making the perfect cup of tea.
Molly makes sure all Tec Hut refurbishments are delivered and installed on time and to standard. She honed her skills in customer service and hospitality, where she also learned the sacred art of pouring the perfect pint of Guinness, before joining the team.
Outside of work, Molly loves the gym, spending time with her family and trying new food — as long as it doesn’t set her mouth on fire.
Chris Kenyon
Chris Kenyon — Sales Executive
Chris is part of the Tec Hut sales team and helps clients with their IT asset disposal and ensures all their data is destroyed exactly as it should be. He’s been in ITAD for more than three years, and has developed a strong mix of technical knowledge, environmental awareness and the sort of client-care instincts that you can’t really teach.
Before joining Tec Hut, Chris worked in a similar role, talking directly to customers and solving whatever problems they threw his way – which is why he’s so good at keeping people calm, informed and happy.
When not sorting collections or chasing certificates, Chris is usually out exploring new countries, trying new foods, soaking up a different culture or enjoying music and football at the weekend.
Elliott Cummings
Elliott Cummings — Sales Executive
Elliott is one of the friendly faces in Tec Hut’s sales team, helping clients securely dispose of their IT equipment and making sure every last bit of data is wiped properly. With nine months in ITAD, WEEE recycling and data security, he’s already picked up the kind of knowledge that makes him oddly passionate about compliance.
Before joining Tec Hut, Elliott was behind the bar mixing cocktails and pouring pints — which explains why he’s great with people, calm under pressure and able to negotiate just about anything.
When he’s off the clock, you’ll find him watching Manchester United (mood varies), catching up with friends, or enjoying a well‑earned Guinness on a Friday night.
David Griffin
David Griffin — Van Driver
David is one of the friendly faces behind the wheel at Tec Hut, making sure WEEE recycling is transported safely, securely and exactly where it needs to go. With over six years in the industry, he’s mastered the art of smooth journeys, great customer service and keeping everything GDPR‑compliant from collection to treatment facility.
At Tec Hut, David plays a key role in keeping daily collections running like clockwork, making the whole process easy for clients and ensuring every job ends with a satisfied customer.
Before joining the team, David spent eight years in plastic manufacturing, working his way up to earn a Grade 1 in polymer science — proof he’s got both the brains and the work ethic to back up his calm, reliable approach.
Outside of work, David loves spending time with his family and heading out for a peaceful day of fishing, his favourite way to unwind.
Jake Birdsey
Jake Birdsey — Lead Sales Executive
Jake joined Tec Hut in early 2023 and has quickly become a trusted contact for schools, colleges, and IT support businesses across the UK.
He helps clients manage all aspects of IT recycling and secure data destruction, ensuring unwanted technology is handled safely and responsibly.
Drawn to Tec Hut’s vision of becoming a leading provider in IT recycling, Jake is proud to contribute to the company’s continued growth and success.
Outside of work, you’ll find him in the gym or enjoying a pint of Guinness at his local pub.
Sion Whalley
Sion Whalley — Warehouse Operator
Sion is one of the Tec Hut warehouse engines, keeping everything moving, organised and running smoothly behind the scenes. He’s the guy with more than a year’s experience who can diagnose a problem, fix it fast and somehow keep everyone’s spirits up at the same time – usually with timely food and drink deliveries.
Sion was used to fixing things on the fly and making sure standards were met long before he came to Tec Hut, so warehouse life is a natural fit for him.
Outside of work, Sion serves in the Army Reserves, bringing discipline, commitment and calm under pressure to everything he does. When he’s not doing that, he’s usually building drift cars — a hobby that perfectly matches his practical brain, attention to detail and love of making things go faster.
Joseph Piper
Joseph Piper — Trainee Sales Executive
Joseph is one of the newest (and sharpest) additions to the Tec Hut sales team, helping organisations dispose of their IT securely, compliantly and without the usual headaches. With five months in the ITAD world, he’s already picked up the knack for spotting opportunities, speaking to decision‑makers and guiding businesses toward smarter, more sustainable tech disposal.
Before joining Tec Hut, Joseph worked in the removals industry — clearing offices, tackling big campus projects and handling the kind of logistical chaos that would break most people. No surprise he’s calm, collected and impossible to fluster.
Outside of work, Joseph is all about sports. If he’s not watching football, boxing or MMA, he’s in the gym or sharpening the skills he spent years building in mixed martial arts. And when he’s not doing that, he’s out on the social scene catching up with friends.
